Savannah Chrisley Responds To Critics Of Trump Pardoning Her Parents, Vows To “Stand In Faith And Integrity”

Todd And Julie Chrisley Receive Full Pardon From Trump

Since January 17, 2023, under the Biden administration, real estate moguls Todd and Julie Chrisley, of the reality show Chrisley Knows Best, have been in federal prison after being convicted of bank fraud.

However, on Tuesday, May 27, President Donald Trump made a phone call from the Oval Office to let Todd and Julie’s children know he was issuing a full presidential pardon to their parents.

Savannah and Chase Chrisley, the eldest of the children Todd and Julie have together, were on hand to receive this call, with Chase tearfully telling the president, “I just want to say thank you for bringing my parents back.”

After the announcement, both Savannah and Chase took to social media, sharing images of them donning Make America Great Again hats.

However, not everyone was as enthusiastic about Todd and Julie being pardoned.

Savannah Responds To Critics

The Tweet has since been deleted by the SHERO writer Amee Vanderpool, but she called into question what Savannah did to help her parents receive a pardon.

Resharing the post with her response, Savannah wrote on X, “Are you insinuating that I had to compromise my morals or integrity to fight for my family’s freedom? Let me make one thing crystal clear: I didn’t have to sell my soul—I stood on truth, persistence, and God’s favor. I fought a broken, weaponized system with everything I had… and I won.”

For the past two years, Savannah has been working to support her family while her parents have been in prison. From following in her father’s footsteps by starting her own real estate business, to producing a podcast to tell her story her own way, Savannah has done this while serving as guardian for her two youngest siblings, Chloe and Grayson.

She also became a senior fellow for CPAC’s Nolan Center for Justice, speaking at the Republican National Convention in 2024 and serving on a panel concerning criminal justice earlier this year.

Continuing her response, Savannah wrote, “What’s truly shameful is the projection from people like you, who assume corruption is the only path to justice because that’s what you’ve known. I fought with my faith intact, my character unwavering, and my head held high.”

She added, “Don’t mistake my strength and determination for something sinister or sexual like you implied just because it makes you uncomfortable.”

Punching back, she concluded her post by asking, “But since we’re on the subject of passing judgement on people we don’t know, what did you do to get your job sis?”

Since then, the Tweet Savannah was responding to has been deleted, and Savannah seems unfazed.

Commenting on the interaction, Savannah posted“I will stand in faith and integrity.”

Thanking Trump And Praising God

“President Trump didn’t just commute their sentences,” Savannah said in a May 27 social media video. “He gave them a full, unconditional pardon, so, for that, I am forever grateful.”

She added, “Thank God for a president like Donald J. Trump. Thank God for a president who wants to restore families and loves people — and loves people well — and took the time to call me from the Oval Office to let me know my parents are getting their lives back.”

Sharing another post on her Instagram Story, Savannah shared, “Grateful today for answered prayers and the unexpected blessings that only God can bring. His favor, mercy, and timing are always perfect.”

Accompanying these words was the Bible verse Ephesians 3:20 (NIV), which reads, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”

Similarly, Chase shared Matthew 9:29 (NLT) to his Instagram Story, which is an account of Jesus healing two blind men, in which the Lord says, “Because of your faith, it will happen.”

Trump noted the pardon would go into effect either the day of his announcement or the following day, with images of the president signing the pardon being released by Savannah on May 28.
