Sheryl Crow is definitely on board with the idea of teaming up with Kelly Clarkson for a future collaboration.
Earlier last month, Kelly Clarkson delivered an incredible cover of Sheryl Crow’s 1994 hit “All I Wanna Do” during the Kellyoke segment of her daytime talk show.
Crow’s song “All I Wanna Do” was her breakout hit following the release of her debut album. The track climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the following year, it earned her Grammys for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Even after more than two decades, it remains one of her most iconic songs.
Clarkson’s rendition of the Grammy-winning song quickly went viral and caught the attention of Crow herself. Crow took to social media to praise the performance, even saying that Clarkson’s version was “better” than her own.
Good grief,” Crow wrote in the video’s comment section. “@kellyclarkson could sing the damn phone book! I love this version better than mine!!”
The exchange between the two singers had fans super excited over the idea of them possibly collaborating.
In an exclusive interview with ExtraTV, Crow addressed the idea. She hinted that she would absolutely be open to working with Clarkson if the opportunity came along.
She began by expressing how much she admires Clarkson as a singer, mentioning that she’s always blown away by her talent.
“She’s awesome. She’s outstanding. She’s a lovely person but her voice is insane,” Crow said.
When the interviewer suggested the idea of them working together, Crow was all for it.
“Oh, that would be cool. That would be cool,” Crow said, accompanied by a playful wink to the camera.
Who knows, something might already be in the works behind the scenes, and we just don’t know it yet!
