Sydnie Christmas stuns with big vocals and Cruella attitude in her first “Animal Lover” performance from 101 Dalmatians: The Musical

Sydnie Christmas just gave fans a big reason to be excited for 101 Dalmatians: The Musical.

At West End LIVE 2025, the Britain’s Got Talent winner hit the stage for her first performance of “Animal Lover,” a bold new song from the upcoming musical. With powerhouse vocals and a sassy Cruella-like attitude, Sydnie thrilled the crowd and made a lasting impression.

What To Know About 101 Dalmatians: The Musical and Its All-Star Cast

101 Dalmatians: The Musical will run from July 18 to August 30, 2025, at the Eventim Apollo in London, with Sydnie Christmas leading the show as Cruella De Vil.

She’s not the only star in the cast. Joining her are TV presenter Jeff Brazier making his stage debut as Casper, and Aston Merrygold of JLS fame playing Jasper. Other cast members include Laura Baldwin as Danielle, Linford Johnson as Pongo, Samuel Thomas as Tom, and Emma Thornett as Perdi.

The musical follows the daring adventure of Pongo and Perdi, two loving Dalmatians who must rescue their stolen puppies from Cruella’s wild fashion plan. It’s packed with humor, heart, catchy original songs, and even amazing puppetry.

Originally launched at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in 2022, the show is adapted for the stage by Zinnie Harris, with songs by Douglas Hodge and a book by Johnny McKnight.

Director Bill Buckhurst leads the team, with set design by David Woodhead, costume design by Sarah Mercadé, and choreography by Lucy Hind.
