Courtney Hadwin sings her own song in the bathroom, and it sounds just like a studio hit

With a knack for turning the most unexpected spaces into stages, Courtney Hadwin once again proved she’s in a league of her own.

In a raw and electrifying moment, the British powerhouse delivered a vocal masterclass from none other than a bathroom — performing her original song with the kind of clarity and soul that could rival any studio session.

The acoustic setting might have been humble, but the sound was anything but. Each note rang out with the polish of a radio-ready hit, reminding fans that when it comes to sheer talent, Hadwin needs no fancy production — just her voice and a song to sing.

It’s a bold move, but exactly what fans have come to expect from an artist who broke the internet as a 13-year-old sensation on America’s Got Talent. And now, nearly seven years after that jaw-dropping audition, Courtney is stepping confidently into a new era — one that’s entirely her own.

The viral bathroom performance coincides with the release of the official music video for her lead single, “You Only Love Me When I Lie”, taken from her debut album Little Miss Jagged, set to release on September 12, 2025.

Courtney shared, “I loved every minute working on the ‘You Only Love Me When I Lie’ set and portraying myself as a woman and not a child. A big part of my journey and this song was showing and telling how I’m no longer that kid everyone wants me to be. Everyone grows up and changes — and sometimes when you’re in the limelight so young, people forget that.”

Her debut album Little Miss Jagged captures that transformation. It’s a coming-of-age record packed with bite, vulnerability, and unfiltered soul. Hadwin’s trademark blues-and-soul vocals are more commanding than ever, weaving through genres that range from Motown to hard rock, punk to epic ballads.

Touches of Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, and Tina Turner echo through her delivery, but there’s no mistaking Courtney’s singular edge. Collaborating with Grammy-winning co-writer/producer Kevin Bowe (Etta James, Joe Cocker), she’s created a bold first statement of artistry.
