The Sweetest Moment Was Caught On Camera At A Georgia Waffle House

This video might make you believe in humanity again, or at least brighten your day.

Waffle House employees in Madison, Georgia, greeting their elderly regular has gone viral on TikTok. The video has over 2 million likes and more than 8 million views.

In the video, three Waffle House employees rush to greet a recently parked car. All three ladies look overjoyed at whoever is inside the vehicle. They quickly open the door and stand by the driver’s side, chatting with an unseen fourth person in the car.

That’s when the elderly gentleman emerges. One of the waitresses takes his hand to help him safely cross the parking lot, while the other two join hands with her. The four of them make their way into the Waffle House, hand in hand, smiling brightly.

So, why did the ladies rush to greet the elderly gentleman?

One TikTok user claimed that this was her grandfather and shed light on the situation.

Although her relationship is not confirmed, her claim aligns with what the video’s creators, Cara Bowers, shared. The waitresses mentioned they hadn’t seen him in a while.

“Caught the purest interaction on video EVER! @Waffle House in Madison, GA you guys are the sweetest. After talking to some of the waitresses this was one of their regulars who they haven’t seen in a while. I literally teared up.”

The TikTok commenter who claimed that the man is her grandfather revealed that he and his wife, her grandmother, frequently visited that Waffle House. He was away for a while because she was recently moved into a home. She said,

“This is my sweet grandpa, he & my grandmother always frequented here! She’s moved into a home now but I’m glad to see he’s back & feeling all the love.”

Waffle House fans could not get enough of the sweet moment, sharing their thoughts in the comments, saying,

“It’s so worrisome when a regular doesn’t come in for a while (especially if they are older). I understand running to meet him outside completely.”

“My grandma is 93. They have her picture up in our local Waffle House. She eats there at least once a week. They gave her a Waffle House mug with her name on it one year for her birthday.”

“HE GOT ALL DRESSED UP.”

“As someone in the service industry. We worry about our regulars when we don’t see them.”

“This is a Waffle Home.”
